Bandits abduct Living Faith Pastor

Suspected bandits have abducted a Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) pastor in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, sparking fresh concerns over insecurity in the area.
The incident reportedly occurred when the clergyman was traveling along the Okeoffin–Okoro Gbedde axis on his way to a farm. Eyewitnesses said the attackers intercepted the pastor, forcing him into the bush and whisking him away to an unknown location. The commercial motorcyclist accompanying him was said to have escaped unharmed.

As of the time of filing this report, no ransom demand has been made, and the whereabouts of the abducted pastor remain unknown. Residents of the community have expressed fear and anxiety, with many limiting their movement, especially to farms and remote locations.
Security agencies are yet to issue an official statement, but investigations and efforts to rescue the abducted pastor are believed to be ongoing. The incident adds to a growing list of abductions and security challenges confronting parts of Kogi State.
