Bandits in Zamfara abduct Danfodiyo Varsity final-year student, others
A final-year student at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Mansur Garba, has been abducted by suspected bandits in Zamfara State.
The incident occurred on the highway en route to Gusau, the capital of Zamfara, when the bandits intercepted a vehicle carrying at least six passengers, including Mansur Garba.
The vehicle was traveling from Sokoto to Gusau when the gunmen seized the passengers and transported them to an unknown location.

Mansur’s friend confirmed the abduction to the press on Friday morning, revealing that his family announced the news the previous evening.
Mansur, an undergraduate in his final year, risks missing his upcoming exams and graduation if he is not released by the terrorists before Saturday.
The friend expressed uncertainty regarding Mansur’s exact whereabouts and mentioned that he was not the only person taken by the bandits.
As of the time of reporting, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Yezid Abubakar, could not be reached for comment as multiple calls and messages to him were not responded to.
