Mr Abiodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Sunday, October 16, 2022 sworn in as the new Ekiti State Governor.

Oyebanji is the fifth democratically elected governor of the state since 1999.
He was sworn in by the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye.
He took over from Governor Kayode Fayemi.
Oyebanji pledges to preserve, protect and defend as well as preserve the office as governor as enshrined in the constitution.
