Borno, Thinklab Group sign PPP deal to remodel uncompleted housing projects (Pictures)
The Borno State Government has signed a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreement with Thinklab Group Limited to complete and develop uncompleted housing projects in Maiduguri.
The partnership aims to finalise 404 housing units in Bakassi GRA along Biu Road and 190 units in Dr. Shettima Ali Monguno Teacher’s Village along Pompomari Bypass.
Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Mustapha Gubio, presided over the agreement signing, witnessed by Permanent Secretary Engr. Ali Baware, Special Adviser Engr. Kori Shettima, and Housing Corporation officials. Thinklab Group Limited was represented by its Chairman, Dr. Sa’id Alkali Kori.

Under the agreement, Thinklab Group Limited will finance the project as equity, while the Borno State Government contributes the uncompleted housing units. The revenue-sharing ratio is set at 60% for Thinklab Group Limited and 40% for the state government.
Speaking at the event, Commissioner Gubio reaffirmed the government’s commitment to private-sector partnerships and urged Thinklab Group Limited to ensure high-quality delivery.
Dr. Kori praised the Borno State Government for fostering a business-friendly environment and pledged the company’s dedication to quality construction while creating job opportunities for local communities.
