BREAKING: Mujeli, kidnapped Mubi DPO, released

Mr. Ahijo Mujeli, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Mubi North of Adamawa State who was abducted by gunmen in the night of Tuesday, 19/11/2019 along Mubi-Maraba road in has been released.

A very close relative of his who crave for anonymity sent a whatsapp message to Neptune Prime announcing his release.

The message read: “Alhamdu lilLah, alhamdu lilLah, alhamdu lilLah… we thank you all for your support and prayers… Mujelli is back in Mubi”.

It will be recalled that Mujelli was driving in his personal car along Mubi-Maraba road, near the toll-gate, at around 6.30 p.m. that fateful night when he was kidnapped.

The police said then “there were gunshots around the area. When our men arrived, they met an empty car identified as his.”

After a few days his kidnappers made contact and demanded for 10 million naira.

The relative disclosed to Neptune prime that “as at this morning, seven point five million had been collected and even the kidnappers gave till Monday, he was finally released”.
