Canada deports 366 Nigerians as 974 others await removal

Canada has deported 366 Nigerian nationals as part of its ongoing immigration enforcement actions, while 974 others remain in detention or scheduled for removal, according to immigration authorities.
The deportations form part of efforts by the Canadian government to enforce its immigration laws and address irregular migration patterns. Many of the deportees reportedly entered Canada through asylum claims that were ultimately rejected, prompting their removal under Canadian immigration regulations.
In a statement, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officials said the removals were carried out in accordance with existing legal processes, including judicial reviews and appeals where applicable. The agency noted that efforts were made to ensure that all proceedings complied with international and national legal standards.
