COVID-19: Yobe State Gov’t extends borders closure till 30 april

Yobe State Government has extended the closure of its borders with neighbouring states and work from home of workers below level 12 till 30 April 2020.

Abdullahi Bego, the state Commissioner Ministry of Information and Culture made this known on Tuesday while updating pressmen in Damaturu.

The Yobe state Coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention and control committee under the leadership of deputy governor Idi Gubana has met and reviewed some of the measures.

“The committee resolved that in view of the ongoing prevalence of corvette-19 in some parts of the country, movement into and out of the state will continue to remain restricted.

“And the stay at home and work directives for civil servants from grade level 12 and below has been extended until 30 April 2020.”, he said.

Bego also said Yobe state government through the COVID-19 committee remains profoundly grateful to the people of a state for their cooperation and adherence to the guidelines that have been issued by the committee.

Especially on social distancing, regular hand-washing, staying at home and good respiratory etiquettes.
