Customs service generates N12.8 billion in 6 months

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ogun II Area Command, has achieved a remarkable revenue collection of over N12.8 billion from January to June.

Mr. Olusola Alade, the Area Controller, disclosed this significant achievement at a news conference in Abeokuta on Friday, highlighting a 51% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Alade attributed the command’s success to the professionalism and dedication of its officers, noting substantial revenue growth in the last three months: N3.4 billion in April, N2.8 billion in May, and N3.6 billion in June.

The controller emphasized the importance of continuous intelligence and reconnaissance, which led to the identification of previously unregistered factories now under excise control.
