Davido has pledged to continue his philanthropic efforts, promising additional donations in 2024. Speaking about the mission of his Davido Adeleke Foundation (DAF), he said, “I founded DAF in 2022 with a strong desire to create lasting support for charitable initiatives that benefit the people of Nigeria. Through this foundation, we have raised millions of Naira, directing vital funds to hundreds of orphanages and significantly improving the lives of many children.”

The singer’s philanthropic journey began in 2021 after his birthday, when he raised over ₦200 million by sharing his bank account details on Twitter (now X). Following the overwhelming response, Davido announced that the full amount, plus an additional ₦50 million of his own funds, would be donated to orphanages and the Paroche Foundation, an organization dedicated to combating drug abuse and addiction.

“I am happy to announce that all funds received, totaling ₦200,000,000, will be donated to orphanages across Nigeria and the Paroche Foundation,” Davido stated at the time.
