Diddy Combs paid for Tupac’s assassination, according to court document

Sean Combs, also referred to as “Diddy,” is an American music entrepreneur and business magnate who has been linked to the 1996 murder of well-known rapper Tupac Shakur.

According to the journalists, Diddy is suspected of giving $1 million to Duane, also known as Keefe D, who was detained in 2023 on suspicion of killing Tupac Shakur.

Diddy was identified 77 times under his multiple aliases, including Puffy, Puff Daddy, Puff, and his official name, Sean Combs, in the documents submitted on Thursday, July 18.

“Defendant [Keefe] has asserted publicly that he only told on himself and wasn’t trying to provide evidence against anyone else in his conversations with police. However, this statement belies this claim, as he suggested that Sean Combs paid Eric Von Martin a million dollars for the killings,” the documents read in part.

In one of the transcripts, Davis reportedly testified to Diddy’s involvement in 2Pac’s murder.

Police asked Davis, “Puffy Combs, Does he play a role in this thing?” and Davis replied, “Yeah, I think he did.”

Davis claimed that Diddy had informed him and a group of approximately forty-five people that he “would give anything” for Knight’s “head” because Shakur had a grudge against him and that Davis was “scared” of him. In an attempt to counter Davis’ most recent bail request, prosecutors filed the documents.

Last month, his $112,500 bail bond was denied due to questions over the money’s origin. It is yet unclear, though, if Diddy will face subpoenas or face an indictment in connection with the issue.
