Following the recent appointment of Dr Halilu Ahmad Shaba as the new Director-General of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Ex-President of National Association of Science Students, Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola chapter, Abdulhamid Shuaibu Abdulhamid, has commended the President while also congratulating the new Director.

Abdulhamid further added that the appointment was in consideration of his excellent academic work, committed responsibilities with an experience of more than 25 years in office, and described it as a “round peg in a round hole.”
He also added that he believes that given the position, Nigerian Space Network would transform to a global best standard, with Dr Halilu Ahmad Shaba as the new Director-General.
Also commending the Senate, Abdulhamid Shuaibu stated that the Committee on Science and Technology has done a job well done for prompt confirmation of Shaba, and assured Nigerians that Shaba will take the National Space Agency to the highest pedestal in research and development.
