Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel faces sexual assault allegations

US actor Vin Diesel, known for his roles in the Fast & Furious franchise and other blockbuster movies, is facing a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault.

Vin Diesel’s former personal assistant, Asta Jonasson, has alleged in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles that the actor pinned her to a wall and performed a sex act on himself during the filming of Fast Five in 2010.

Jonasson claims that Vin Diesel, whose real name is Mark Sinclair, physically overpowered her in his hotel suite and ignored her clear statements of non-consent as he groped her.

After she screamed and ran towards the nearby bathroom, Jonasson alleges that Vin Diesel pinned her against the wall with his body and performed a sex act on himself.

She further claims that she was fired by Vin Diesel’s sister Samantha Vincent, who runs his production company One Race Films, mere hours after the incident.

The lawsuit also accuses Vincent and the production company of wrongful termination. Vin Diesel’s lawyer has denied the claim, stating that his client “denies this claim in its entirety”.

Jonasson’s lawsuit alleges that the sexual battery took place at the St Regis hotel in Atlanta during the filming of Fast Five. The actor’s sister did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
