FGN to cancel contracts for road projects exceeding N6 trillion

The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) is contemplating terminating several abandoned road projects valued at over N6 trillion, which were inherited from previous administrations and lack clear sources of funding.

This decision was revealed by the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, during a press briefing held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu.

Furthermore, Umahi disclosed that the President has granted approval for certain road construction projects and intends to implement tolls on certain roads across the country.
