Gombe gov orders manhunt for killers of ECWA pastor
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has strongly condemned the killing of Reverend Bala Galadima, the presiding clergy of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in the Lubo community of Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area.
Reverend Galadima was tragically murdered in the early hours of Sunday by suspected armed robbers at his residence in Lubo.
In a statement issued on Monday, signed by Ismaila Misilli, the Director-General of Press Affairs, Governor Yahaya condemned the brutal act, calling it an attack on the peace and security that Gombe State has long upheld. He emphasized that such violence must not be allowed to disrupt the state’s long-standing peaceful coexistence.
“We will not allow criminal elements to undermine the harmony and security that Gombe State is known for. I have directed our security agencies to leave no stone unturned in apprehending those responsible for this heinous act and ensuring they face justice,” the Governor said.
He further reassured the people of Gombe State that his administration remains steadfast in its commitment to their safety and security. “We will continue to take decisive actions and deploy all necessary resources to rid our state of criminal elements,” Governor Yahaya affirmed.
