Gov. Buni commends military on sustained fight against insurgency

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has urged the military and other security agencies to intensify the fight against insurgency and make Yobe State uncomfortable for terrorists.
Governor Buni made the call at the weekend during the Chief of Army Staff Christmas Luncheon held at the 27 Task Force Brigade Headquarters Buni-Gari.
The event is seen as a morale booster for the troops who have been engaged in combat operations against terrorism, it also avails senior military officers an opportunity to visit frontline troops, share joy with them and pray for those who paid the supreme price in the fight.
In Yobe State, the Commander, Sector 2 Operation Hadin Kai North East, Damaturu Major General Marcel Ejike represented the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, in hosting the state governor at the Christmas Luncheon.
In his remarks, Governor Buni, represented by the Commissioner of Wealth Creation, Employment and Empowerment Generation, Aji Yerima Bularafa, appreciated the troops and other security operatives in the state for their commitment towards ensuring peace across the state.

In a vote of thanks, the Commander 27 Task Force Brigade Headquarters Buni-Gari, Brig Gen. Mohammed Abubakar lauded the support of the Chief of Army Staff, the Sector Commander and the Yobe State Government, without whom he said the present success in security would not have been achieved.
The event was attended by the representative of the Emir of Damaturu Alhaji Maisanda Lawan and other dignitaries.
