Gov. Buni commends security agencies, assures maximum support

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has expressed his gratitude to security agencies and pledged ongoing support to maintain the hard-fought victory against insecurity.
This announcement comes after a courtesy visit from Maj.Gen. MLD Saraso, Commander of Sector 2 Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai, and Adamu Zakari, State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

Emphasizing the importance of the collaboration between security organizations and the civil communities in Yobe State, Governor Buni praised their efforts in successfully combatting terrorism.
He affirmed, “Yobe State is now very peaceful,” highlighting the absence of heightened security measures during former President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit in January. “There were no roadblocks or stop-and-check operations throughout his stay in Damaturu,” the Governor proudly shared.
Governor Buni further affirmed the progress made in the state, stating, “Today, markets across the state are all open, with economic activities growing. Similarly, elections were successfully conducted in communities that were unable to hold them in 2019. These positive indicators clearly demonstrate that peace has returned to Yobe State.”
He took this opportunity to commend President Bola Tinubu for his proactive approach and measures taken to address insecurity throughout the country. Governor Buni assured the security operatives of his unwavering support in their fight against crime, guaranteeing that his administration will stand by their side.
In response to Governor Buni’s encouragement, the security officials expressed their dedication to making Yobe State the safest state in Nigeria. They appreciated the Governor’s support, promising to give their utmost efforts to ensure the safety and security of the state.
