Gov. Buni visits Yobe International Cargo Airport, inspects progress of work  (Photos)

Yobe state Governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, today paid an unscheduled visit to the Yobe International Cargo airport, Damaturu.

In a statement signed by the DG, Press and Media Affairs to the Yobe state governor
Mamman Mohammed said the governor inspected the lounge, fire service station, the control tower and other buildings to check the quality of the structures and the finishing.

Similarly, Gov. Buni inspected the equipment grilling, and the contractors on quality and state of completion.

He also inspected the parameter steel wire fence, securing the airport.

During the surprise visit, the governor also checked the power installations and generators provided at the airport.

After checking the equipments, Governor Buni charged the contractors not to compromise quality and to speedy-up work, he assured that his government will continue to do the needful to meet its obligations.

He cautioned the Ministry of Transport, Power and Energy, to safeguard the equipment installed at the airport against bush fire.

Buni expressed the commitment of his administration to complete and inaugurate the airport and be put to use for the benefit of the state and the people.
