Governor Alia condemns bandit attack in Benue, mourns victims

In a heart-wrenching incident that has sent shockwaves throughout Benue State, over 30 people were killed on Thursday when armed bandits stormed the Ayati settlement in Ukum Local Government Area. The brutal attack has left the farming community in mourning and raised serious concerns about the ongoing insecurity in the region.

Reacting to the tragic event, Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, expressed deep sorrow and condemned the senseless violence that took so many innocent lives. Through a statement issued by his media aide, Sir Tersoo Kula, Governor Alia conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the entire Ukum community.
