Gunmen terrorize Abuja neighborhood, kidnap residents
Gunmen in the early hours of Saturday have attacked an estate in Chicakore close to the Kubwa neighbourhood in the Bwari area council of the nation’s capital.
The FCT Police Command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh who confirmed the incident said officers in the area are combing the bush for the attackers and the abductees.
Although the commands spokesperson did not confirm the number of persons abducted, a resident of the area who declared anonymity said children and a woman were among those taken away by the attackers.
The police image maker in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is urging residents of the area not to panic, calling on them to help the police with credible information that could lead to the arrest of the assailants.
