Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa applauds Gov. Buni for signing ‘Yobe Disability Bill’ into law
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Comrade Mohammed Abba Isa, has commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for his commitment to inclusivity by signing the Yobe State Disability Bill into law.
In a statement released in Abuja on Friday, Comrade Abba Isa hailed the governor’s decision as a historic milestone, marking a new era for persons with disabilities in Yobe State. The bill’s enactment establishes the Yobe State Commission for Persons with Disabilities, a move Abba Isa described as a testament to Governor Buni’s dedication to upholding the rights and welfare of individuals with disabilities.
“This remarkable step aligns seamlessly with President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which priorities equal opportunities and the empowerment of persons with disabilities across the nation,” Abba Isa stated.
He further noted that Yobe State has set an example for other states to emulate, emphasizing that the establishment of the commission highlights the governor’s visionary leadership in fostering inclusivity.
