Honourable Zainab Gimba, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ngala, Bama and Kala Balge on Wednesday visited the Abuja corporate office of Neptune Prime, an emerging leader in online journalism in Nigeria and an authority on North East news, located in the Yobe Investment House.

Gimba, a PhD holder in Public Administration and Policy Analysis from the University of Abuja is the vice-chairman, House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and also the chairperson of the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians, African Region and vice-chairperson, Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians International.

While commending Neptune Prime as a champion of developmental journalism and a gateway to the North East, Dr Gimba said she was impressed with the way the medium highlights the efforts of the governors of the North East, “especially that of my state, Borno, Professor Zulum and Yobe, Honourable Buni, in their bids to provide the much-needed dividends of democracy”.

Soliciting for more publicity for the governors, she said “our states have been devastated by insurgency and environmental calamities; the governors are working round the clock to ensure their people pick up their socio-economic lives. Please highlight their noble activities”.
