There was anxiety yesterday in Kuje, one of the six area councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), when hoodlums went searching to loot any warehouse with COVID-19 palliatives.

They marched around the streets with sticks, blocking roads within the Kuje township.

Residents ran for safety as traders also locked their shops and moved out of the market to avoid the crisis. The youths ended up vandalising the office of the Federal Road Safety Corps and part of the local government secretariat before they were dispersed.

In a related development, hoodlums invaded the Nigerian Customs Command and Staff College Gwagwalada, Abuja.

As heard in the video, a lady said, “The hoodlums who invaded the place had said that all the customs’ vehicles are seized vehicles.

She stated that it was just a hostel and didn’t understand why they would invade their houses as there was no COVID-19 palliative kept in their house.

Gunshots were heard causing people to panic and run for their dear lives.
