Housemaid arrested for stealing $60,000 worth of jewelry
The Lagos state police command have arrested one Alice Udey, 33, for stealing from her employer.
Reports indicate that Udey, who was employed as a maid, stole the jewelry within 24 hours of starting work with the family.
Efforts to locate her after the theft were unsuccessful, as she vanished with the stolen items.

Police officials confirmed her arrest on Sunday, October 27, at the Ikoyi Police Station in Lagos.
Her capture followed a comprehensive 16-month investigation that revealed a suspected organized crime ring targeting affluent Nigerian households.
The suspect is set to face theft-related charges as the investigation continues.
