How Zamfara lawmaker was killed, son abducted by bandits

Bandits have killed Muhammad Ahmad, the lawmaker representing Shinkafi Constituency in the Zamfara House of Assembly.

Malam Mustafa Jafaru-Kaura, the Director-General, Press and Public Affairs, of the assembly, confirm this in Gusau on Wednesday, while adding that the bandits also kidnapped the lawmaker’s son and driver.

Jafaru-Kaura further stated that the incident occurred on Tuesday at Sheme in Kastina State while Ahmad was on his way to Kano.

“He was taking his son to a hospital in Kano. The lawmaker’s son and driver were kidnapped by the bandits,” Jafaru-Kaura said.

Muhammad Ahmad was the Walin Jangeru, the Chairman House Committee on Finance, Budget and Appropriations.
