IGP deploys mobile Police anti-terrorism unit in Kebbi

The inspector general of police has approved the deployments and despatch of armed mobile police force anti-terrorism unit in Kebbi State.

In a press statement from the Kebbi state police command, the state commissioner stated that the unit is already in the state and have been drafted to some volatile local governments areas in the state.,

The deployments of the anti-terrorism, the statement added, is to keep bandits at bay who infiltrate the state through land borders to wreak havoc on villages, the deployed mobile police force anti-terrorism are to complement the efforts of other security agencies already existing in the state.

Kebbi State police commissioner CP Adeleke Adeyinka Bode, therefore, urged members of the public to support the anti-terrorism unit to fish out criminal elements in the state and appeal to the people of Kebbi state to report any suspicious persons and/or movement for prompt action, he maintained that his command will not relent in their official duties of securing the lives and property of people of Nigeria and Kebbi state in particular.
