Jubilation as power is restored in 4 northern states
Power has been restored in four states under the Jos Electricity Distribution franchise – Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe, and Benue states.
Residents of Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe and Benue celebrated late Wednesday evening as electricity was restored after a 10-day blackout.

The power returned at approximately 7:20 pm, bringing relief to the affected communities.
The prolonged outage, caused by a tripped 330kV transmission line between Benue and Enugu states, had severely impacted daily life and businesses in the region.
However, as lights flickered back to life, jubilation erupted in Jos, the Plateau state capital.
