Katsina varsity student dies during fight over girlfriend

A 200-level Computer Science student of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma, FUDMA, Katsina State, Abubakar Barda, has been allegedly killed during a fight over a girl.
Abubakar’s killing which occurred at the Darawa quarters of Dutsinma Local Government Area of the state, recently around 1:20p.m where the fight broke out, has also led to the suspension of seven students involved in the trifling battle by the school authorities.

Consequently, the State Police Command’s Spokesperson, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, issued a statement on Saturday dispelling rumour that the killing was religiously motivated.
He said, the police has launched investigation into the matter with the view to prosecute suspects.
