Man in trouble as married woman collapses, dies at midnight in his apartment
The Ogun State Police Command has detained a 65-year-old man, Olalekan Ogunjobi, following the sudden death of a married woman, Serifatu Disu, in his apartment.
According to police reports, Serifatu, 60, left her husband’s home to visit Ogunjobi at his residence in Fatima Castle, Konigba, Ago-Iwoye. Around midnight, she complained of severe chest pains, collapsed outside his room, and later passed away despite attempts to revive her.
Speaking on the matter, the Ogun State Police spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola, confirmed that an investigation is underway. She stated:
“The body has been taken to the General Hospital in Ijebu-Ode for an autopsy, and Olalekan Ogunjobi is in custody for further questioning.”
While the nature of the relationship between the deceased and Ogunjobi remains unclear, the incident has sparked conversations, with some questioning the circumstances leading to the late-night visit.
