A 58-year-old man has died after a 19-day dry fast in the Alagbado area of Lagos State.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, stating that no foul play is suspected.

According to Hundeyin, the deceased’s younger brother reported the incident at the Alagbado Police Division on Monday at 7 p.m., indicating that his brother had died while undergoing the dry fast.

The family has requested permission to proceed with the burial. The incident occurred on Monday at 6:00 a.m., and the police have confirmed that no foul play is suspected.
