Barcelona after pulling a 2-2 draw with United last week were first to find the back of the net courtesy Robert Lewandowski via a penalty to take the lead.

Barça took the lead through half-time until in the 47th minute when Brazilian player, Fred equalised to make it 1-1.

United exerted more pressure from the midfield which paid off seeing Anthony who was unmarked on the right of the box and, on the volley, curled his effort around Ter Stegen and into the far bottom corner to make it 2-1 for the Red Devils.

United have beaten Barcelona for the first time since April 2008 (1-0 in the second leg of the 2007-08 Champions League semi-final), ending their five-game winless run against the Spanish side.

This was the first time Barcelona have lost a game (in any competition) in which they led at half time since April 2021 vs Granada (1-2), having gone unbeaten in 37 successive matches in which they had led at the break before today.
