Many feared trapped in fire outbreak at Lagos plank market

A devastating fire broke out at the Oko Baba plank market in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos, with an unconfirmed number of people feared to be trapped. The fire, which is rapidly spreading, has drawn a massive response from emergency services in an attempt to contain the flames and rescue those affected.

Officials from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and both the State and Federal Fire Services are working tirelessly to control the situation. In addition, local residents have joined in to support emergency workers.
