The Federal Government has ordered an immediate investigation into allegations of extortion involving officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Responding to reports across some social media platforms indicating that some NSCDC officers allegedly extorted ₦5.2 million from a group of young men travelling from Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State to Akure, Ondo State, Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, said that anyone found culpable after the probe will be dealt with according to the laws.
