Motorists advised to avoid Apongbon under bridge as fire guts market (videos)

Road users plying the famous Eko bridge have been advised to take alternative routes as part of the most popular market in Lagos – Apongbon market on the Island is said to be on fire.

The section of the market – under the famous Eko bridge was affected.

The fire started in the early hours of Wednesday and has reportedly destroyed some shops in the area and goods running to millions of Naira.

While it is unclear if fire fighters have arrived the scene in a video sent to Neptune Prime, road users have been asked to avoid the area pending when normalcy returned or certified by the authorities.
