Nasarawa: Toto residents beg Tinubu for improved security
Residents of Toto Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, have appealed to President Bola Tinubu to make security in their community a top priority in the new year.
Mr Yahaya Idris, a local resident, emphasised the need for improved security to enable safe movement of people and goods across Nigeria. “With adequate security, more people will feel safe to travel, and goods will reach distant communities, reducing the stress of accessing essential services,” he said.
Mallam Ahmed Mustapha highlighted that better security could boost tourism, attracting foreign visitors and increasing revenue. “Nigeria has wonderful tourist destinations, but we need a peaceful environment to attract visitors,” he stated.

Similarly, Alhaji Mohammed Usman, a politician in Toto, noted that adequate security would encourage farming activities, helping to combat food insecurity. He also urged the President to address the high cost of fuel to alleviate hardships faced by Nigerians.
“Our prayer is for 2025 to be better than 2024,” Usman concluded.
