Ned Nwoko denies marriage, pregnancy rumors with Chika Ike
Ned Nwoko, the senator representing the Delta North senatorial district at the National Assembly, has denied recent rumors alleging that he plans to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant with his child.
The senator’s statement comes after viral speculation surrounding his marriage to actress Regina Daniels, who recently deactivated her Instagram account. Reports had claimed that Nwoko fathered a child with Ike, citing photos of her growing baby bump shared on social media, which ignited further rumors.
In response, Nwoko dismissed the claims as “baseless” and described them as “a product of malicious speculation” in a statement issued by his communications office. He also refuted reports suggesting he made comments about singer Tuface Idibia and polygamy, calling these allegations untrue.
A viral report had earlier attributed a false quote to Nwoko, in which he allegedly praised Tuface for embracing polygamy, claiming it helps create balance and prevent infidelity. The report further misrepresented Nwoko by stating he said, “2face is a real representation of the African man. Wealth is defined by how many wives and children you have. Yes, they are at the forefront of your success as a man. Do you also see how he proposed to Natasha, without kneeling down?”
In his statement, Nwoko’s office clarified that such stories were fabricated by bloggers seeking attention. The senator is currently focused on his political duties and has no time for distractions. His office emphasized that journalists should verify information with them directly and reminded the public of the potential consequences of spreading fake news. The statement urged people to disregard these rumors and rely only on official communications from his office.
