Neptune Prime media workshop: Participants receive certificates/awards

Neptune Network Nigeria Limited, publishers of Neptune Prime Online, Magazine and Television in collaboration with Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism on Friday presented certificates/awards to participants in its just-concluded two-day training in Abuja.

During the presentation, the Publisher/CEO of Neptune Prime, Dr Hassan Gimba, advised participants on the need for good reportage and not to concoct stories just for the sake of having a by-line, in other words, reporters are to be factual in their content write up.

The Managing Editor of Neptune Prime, Mr Ademola Adetokunbo, and the Assistant Managing Editor, Mr Adah Abah, also emphasised the need for an in-depth analysis of stories/features which must be both narrative and descriptive for a better understanding to the readers and endeavour to observe the inverted pyramid order in writing straight news whereby the important points are prioritised in content development.

The participants appreciated the management of Neptune Prime and Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism for organising the workshop.
