Nigeria bolsters anti-terrorism efforts with 6,315 Army recruits

In a move to bolster its manpower and confront the country’s pressing security challenges, the Nigerian Army has welcomed 6,315 newly recruited soldiers into its ranks.

During the passing-out parade of the 85th Regular Intake recruits at the Nigerian Army Depot in Zaria, Kaduna State, Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja emphasized that these recruits would provide vital support to the Nigerian military, offering a pool of capable and combat-ready young soldiers.

Lieutenant General Lagbaja reminded them of the critical timing of their entry into the Armed Forces, with Nigeria grappling with an array of security challenges that require their patriotic dedication.

The Army chief urged them to uphold core values such as loyalty, discipline, and selfless service, underscoring the high expectations placed on their shoulders.

Furthermore, Lieutenant General Lagbaja assured Nigerians that the military would not relent until the country is free from threats posed by terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal elements jeopardizing peace and stability.
