Nigerian Army gets first female spokesperson

Nigerian Army gets first female spokesperson

The Nigerian Army has appointed Lieutenant Colonel Anele Onyechi Appolonia as Director, Army Public Relations.

Anele will take over from Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, who has been posted to the Nigerian Army Future Heritage.

Her appointment will take effect from April 22, 2025.

She is a member of the Direct Regular Course 15 and a member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

Anele had served as Public Relations Officer at the office of the Chief of Army Staff.

Until her appointment, she was serving at the Department of Civil-Military Relations (DHQ).
