This was made known in a notice to the marketers.

The oil company also increased the depot price from N148.17 per litre to N167 per litre.

Recall that in the past weeks petrol scarcity resurfaced across the country as fuel retailers were adopting different prices to force unofficial deregulation attempts.

In Nigeria’s commercial capital, Lagos, some filling stations have changed the price on their meters to reflect the current price they are selling at, others have left theirs to show the approved retail price of N165 per litre but were selling above the displayed price.

Major filling stations including Mobil, Total and OANDO in some parts of the state last week were selling at N170 per litre as displayed on their meters while some use calculators to determine what motorists will pay.
