No going back on Nigeria’s economic reform, Tinubu tells Macron

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed gratitude to French President Emmanuel Macron for his commitment to fostering stronger ties between France and Nigeria, praising Macron’s vision for Africa.

At a state dinner hosted by President Macron at the Palais des Elysée in Paris on Thursday night, Tinubu described the relationship between the two nations as a beacon for mutual prosperity and regional development.

“It is a great honour for me to be here,” Tinubu said. “Your warmth, your commitment, and your foresight in Africa are remarkable. France’s efforts to uphold freedom, democracy, and development are inspiring, and we are excited to work together to build a continent that resonates with hope and growth.”

Tinubu, joined by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and notable Nigerian officials, expressed optimism about Nigeria’s economic reforms, which he believes will have a ripple effect across Africa.
