Obaseki: Edo PDP postpones governorship primaries

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed its gubernatorial primaries in Edo State.

The Primaries which was due to take place on Saturday 19 June was postponed to Tuesday, 23 June 2020.

PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan made this known on his Twitter page.

He wrote, “@OfficialPDPNig has postponed its primary election in Edo State to Tuesday, June, 23rd, 2020”.

Meanwhile, the PDP on Wednesday vowed that there will be no automatic ticket for the governor of Edo State Mr Godwin Obaseki.

Honourable Tony Aziegbemi, the party’s chairman in Edo State said the party is very much prepared for the primaries coming up in the next two days, with the hope of cruising to victory at the poll come September this year.
