{"id":2214,"date":"2026-04-01T18:20:31","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T18:20:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/neptuneprime.com.ng\/old\/?p=2214"},"modified":"2026-04-01T18:20:32","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T18:20:32","slug":"yobe-court-discharges-man-accused-of-assaulting-minor-in-damaturu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/neptuneprime.com.ng\/old\/2026\/04\/01\/yobe-court-discharges-man-accused-of-assaulting-minor-in-damaturu\/","title":{"rendered":"Yobe court discharges man accused of assaulting minor in Damaturu"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Story by <strong>Sa&#8217;adatu MAINA,<\/strong> Damaturu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Chief Magistrate Court in Damaturu, Yobe State, has discharged a man, Uche Friday Uche, over alleged criminal force against a minor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presiding Chief Magistrate, Mohammed Bilyaminu, gave the order after reviewing evidence presented by the prosecution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The case, marked YBS\/DT\/CMC-I\/19\/2021, was filed by the Commissioner of Police against the accused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prosecution, led by M.H. Muhammad, alleged that the accused committed an offence punishable under Section 268 of the Penal Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charge bordered on the use of criminal force against a girl with the intent to outrage her modesty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, counsel to the accused, S.S.
