President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Jos, the Plateau State capital, on a condolence visit following last Sunday\u2019s deadly attacks in the Angwan Rukuba area that claimed at least 27 lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President was received on arrival by Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, alongside top government officials and political leaders, including APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tinubu had earlier condemned the Jos killings, as well as a separate attack in Kahir village in Kaduna State, where wedding guests were reportedly killed and others abducted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement issued through his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the incidents as \u201cbarbaric and cowardly,\u201d vowing that those responsible would be brought to justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnyone who will sneak under the cover of the night and kill defenceless citizens as done in Jos and Kahir village is a heartless coward,\u201d Tinubu had stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While denouncing the attacks, the President also commended Governor Mutfwang for his response in managing the situation and directed security agencies to intensify efforts to track down the perpetrators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further cautioned sections of the media against framing the violence along religious lines, warning that such narratives could inflame tensions and worsen the crisis.<\/p>\n\n
