{"id":2652,"date":"2026-04-12T04:55:52","date_gmt":"2026-04-12T04:55:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/neptuneprime.com.ng\/old\/?p=2652"},"modified":"2026-04-12T04:56:39","modified_gmt":"2026-04-12T04:56:39","slug":"police-arrest-two-men-for-abducting-traffic-warden-on-duty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/neptuneprime.com.ng\/old\/2026\/04\/12\/police-arrest-two-men-for-abducting-traffic-warden-on-duty\/","title":{"rendered":"Police arrest two men for abducting traffic warden on duty"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Operatives of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested two men, Olopade Abraham and Emmanuel Taiwo, for allegedly abducting a senior traffic warden, ST Oliniju Kehinde, in Akure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The arrest was confirmed in a statement issued on Saturday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abayomi Jimoh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the police, the incident occurred on April 3, 2026, when Abraham, driving a Toyota Avensis with registration number NND 398 EA, alongside Taiwo, reportedly violated traffic regulations at Cathedral Junction in Akure by running a red light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While attempting to enforce compliance, the traffic warden, attached to \u2018A\u2019 Division, approached the vehicle and instructed the occupants to proceed to the station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, instead of complying, the driver allegedly sped off to an unknown destination with the officer still inside the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation prompted an immediate alarm, drawing the attention of a nearby patrol team from the Fanibi Division.
