Osimhen shines with a brace in Serie A season opener
Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen, has kicked off the 2023/24 Italian Serie A league on goals finding the back of the net twice during Napoli’s 3-1 victory against Frosinone on Saturday.
Osimhen’s brace made it his 61 goals in all competitions for the Naples since joining the club in 2021.

Frosinone opened the scoreline seven minutes after kick off but Napoli replied in the 24th minutes courtesy, Matteo Politano to put both sides on level.
Osimhen who was the club’s highest goal scorer last season out registered his name on the score sheet in the 42nd minute to give Napoli the lead.
The 24-year-old who was instrumental for Napoli’s success last season clinching their first Serie A title in 33 years sealed the victory in the 79th minute to make it 3-1.
This is a good start for the Nigerian youngster in Italy after extending his contract for two additional years aside the seasons left in his deal.
Not only will he be staying at Napoli for the next four years but his wages was upgraded from the €6.5 million to €10 million per season.
