“Our target, with Tajudeen Abbas, is to unite the house,” Hon. Kalu

In a discussion with top editors and online publishers in the nation’s capital, Honourable Benjamin Kalu, nicknamed Utabiri Bende, has assured that he and Honourable Tajudeen Abbas, campaigning to be Deputy Speaker and Speaker, respectively, will aim to lead the 10th House of Representatives such as to provide the solution to the hydra-headed needs of Nigerians.

To this end, he disclosed that what they intend to do, called “Joint Task”, is to train the new incoming legislators on legislative nuances as well as bring different shades of political thinking together for effective deliverance.

He said that no one has a monopoly of knowledge and thus “The solution might come from a minority party that has a better approach, better strategy, better policy architecture that will deliver the expected outcome for our country.”

“So we came up with this idea and said it is a joint task for nation building. And if you are going to build a nation, all hands must be on deck. Bring your brick, I bring my brick. The colour of your brick might be yellow, like the flags of some political parties. It might be green, red, or blue, but that is also reflecting the beauty of our diversity, a diversity-sensitive organisation.”
