Passenger slumps, dies after separating fight in motor park

A man has collapsed and died after separating fight at the Mobil Roundabout Park in Minna, Niger State.

Witnesses said the deceased, who had just arrived from Kuta, Shiroro LGA, fell to the ground immediately after drinking water and cautioning some people quarrelling.

A woman who witnessed the incident told City and Crime that, “He just alighted from a cab. He walked over here and bought sachet water that he drank. He even pleaded with some people who were fighting to stop. He sat here and we just saw him on the ground.”

Union officials present at the scene confirmed the incident.

The victim’s body was quickly evacuated by operatives of Operation Flush stationed at the Mobil Roundabout.

One union official, who chose to remain anonymous, said, “Contacts in his phone were called, and they confirmed that he was from Kuta and was in Minna for an activity.”
