PDP floats 10-man reconciliatory committee to end Atiku – Wike face-off

In a desperate move to achieve intra-party peace days to formal kick-off of electioneering ahead of the 2023 General elections, Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has set up a 10-man reconciliatory committee to settle the rift between its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

The committee which comprises of two camps, namely Atiku Abubakar and Nyesom Wike is scheduled to hold a crucial meeting on Monday, August 15, 2022.

Those to attend the meeting from Wike’s camp include: Former Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Bello Adoke; Professor Jerry Gana; Former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke; Ondo State former Governor, Olusegun Mimiko and Ibrahim Dankwambo, a former governor of Gombe State, while the Atiku’s camp has Governor Fintri of Adamawa State; Hon. Adamu Maina Waziri; Honourable Eyitayo Jegede, Senator Liyel Imoke and Engineer Jide Adeniji.

It’s no longer news that PDP flagbearer, Atiku and the first runner-up in the party’s presidential primaries, Wike, have been at loggerheads since the election on May 28 and 29, 2022.

The committee which comprises two camps – Atiku Abubakar and Wike will hold a crucial meeting tomorrow, Monday August 15, 2022.
