Petrol tanker catches fire at NNPC Yola fueling station
Fire has gutted the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) mega fueling station located along Bank Road, Galadima Aminu Way in Jimeta, Yola, Adamawa State.
The unfortunate incident occurred around 21:15 pm on Wednesday evening.
A resident who pleaded for anonymity told Neptune Prime via phone that a tanker offloading petroleum liquids went up in flames.
He said it is unknown if there is any casualty since the incident happened at night when the station had finished selling petrol.
The eyewitness said the Federal Fire Service rushed to the scene to put out the fire.
The NNPC mega fueling station is located along the busy Yola Bank Road, with different banking halls and other private and government offices adjacent it.
