PMB names auditorium in National Counter Terrorism Centre after Jordan’s King Abdullah II
President Muhammadu Buhari has named an auditorium in the newly commissioned National Counter Terrorism Centre in Abuja after King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
This announcement came after a telephonic conversation between the two leaders on Tuesday, where they expressed satisfaction at the deepening of the Nigeria-Jordan strategic partnership in matters of security and other global issues.
In the conversation, the Jordanian leader called to wish President Buhari a happy and successful Ramadan and expressed his gratitude for naming the auditorium in the newly commissioned National Counter Terrorism Centre in Abuja after him.
The facility has been named the “King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein Auditorium.”
During the conversation, the two leaders also discussed several important security issues.
Nigeria, under President Buhari’s leadership, has collaborated with Jordan in tackling terrorism and its spread across West Africa, and has benefited significantly from the Middle Eastern kingdom’s support for pre-emptive measures to neutralize the activities of insurgents in the sub-region.
King Abdullah II also expressed his wish to visit Nigeria before President Buhari leaves office.
